Getglue.com - Check into entertainment

What it is?

getglue.com is an online entertainment site that lets you check into various entertainment activites. The activities include watching a TV show (currently less no. of Indian shows), watching a movie, reading a book or even thinking on a topic. The idea of 'checking in' was more like a waste of time, but getglue.com managed to turn it as fun filled as possible. You can have your facebook and twitter friends followed and you could follow them too.

What's so fun in it?

There are actually 3 elements of fun I would like discuss. They are Stickers, Stream and Recommendations.

Stickers

The awesome feature that made getglue.com stand out from other movie-tainment sites is the Stickers(May be that's why they call getglue or getglued!!). Stickers are unlocked by the user when he/she checks into a special or sponsored entry. Stickers are sometimes seasonal and can be unlocked only when you check in at that particular time.

The more cooler thing is that you get physical copies of the stickers you unlocked mailed to your address when you have unlocked 20 stickers.

Stream

The stream is the home tab of the website and here you can see all activities done by your friends and users are following. In the stream, we can comment and vote on others' comments. The layout is so simple and depict a conversational view which is very welcome.

Reccomendations

Although other websites provide their users with recommendations, getglue.com provide the recommendations classified like Recommendations for you, Recommended new releases, Recommended new DVD releases. And to be frank, the algorithm is working pretty good and the recommendations are way closer than others.

Pages

The pages on every title on getglue.com has a pretty good structure. The page has the statistics, the official trailer, social links, even reviews from rottentomatoes.com and IMDb link, a cool like and favourite button. One thing to be noted here is that it even adds an 'UNLIKE' or 'NOT FOR ME' button which is very brave and newest feature.

How to getglued?

It is very simple, just like creating an email account. The process is even simplified by getglue.com by providing the Log in with Facebook and Log in with Twitter accounts feature. Once your are registered, you can check in to any title available.

Getglue.com has great connectivity solutions that it has provided apps for iPhone and Android users. It has also got a mobile version of the desktop site, which means you can never miss a chance to check in to your favourite titles.

Kochadaiyaan

Rajini is back but this time our superstar appears in the digital form ................

RajiniKanth after his illness couldn't continue the movie RANA  which had just a photo shoot ..........

So he waited for months in recovery and now he has joined with his younger daughter Soundarya to make a Motion capture film Kochadaiyan which will be directed by her and written by K.S .Ravikumar....Deepika Padukone will be the lead pair for Rajini in the film..........

The music will be composed by A.R Rahman and the highlight is Rajini has a sung a song recently in this movie after 25 years ,the lyrics was penned by Vairamuthu ..............

The movie 's first schedule is going currently in UK with all the supporting actors and Technicians and the movie is expected to be released  in the summer of 2013 or in the end of 2012 ........

The movie cast includes Sarath Kumar , Jackie Shroff ,Aadhi ,Nassar ,Shobana ..........

The motion capture films is not new to our Superstar and Kollywood , This tech was used in the movie ENTHIRAN and Suriya 's MAATRAN .........

The motion capture films has been used in some of the famous Hollywood movies like AVATAR .TIN TIN..............

So lets expect the Digital  version of our superstar  soon.....................................

Ganguly 's Return - IPL 5

Look for the Come back of DADA

Sourav Ganguly "The Prince or DADA fondly called " will be making his return as a captain & mentor in this season of IPL for the Pune Warriors in the absence of Yuvi who is out for his treatment against Cancer ...

Sourav has been a highly prolific captain for India ......Under his captaincy India had made lots of High's and a few Low's  and  he made this resounding India at present by his marvelous pick ups to make playing eleven ..

This would be a certainly a test for Ganguly and there is a pressure over him to achieve something better with his new team..... There is no doubt that he is a good hitter but the problem he faces is he wasn't in the net for quite sometimes.. as he was busy with holding the microphone and following the India 's Disastrous Tours in England and Australia ...

But the ability in DADA will make him to return to his stupendous  form....Of course every fan of Dada wants him to hold this season's trophy and as well as to wear the orange cap over his head ...

Dada had also mentioned his first aim is to make Pune in the Top four teams and we hope that he can certainly do it and he has the ability to do it.......

South African fast bowling legend Allan Donald will be the bowling coach while Praveen Amre will be the batting coach. Paddy Upton will be mental conditioner of the team ....

Dada has made some quick moves by roping Marlon Samuels , Michael Clarke ,Tamim Iqbal,Luke wright in the Pune squad ....

But apart from them Pune warriors has some quality T20 players like Robin Uthappa , Manish Pandey , Jesse Ryder, Angelo Matthews ,Murali Karthik , Alfonso Thomas,Wayne Parnell .........
Unfortunately Graeme Smith will no be there due to his ankle injury , Michael Clarke the last foreigner for Pune squad will be there only in the beginning of May & Angelo Matthews will miss the first two to three games.But there are still some fine players in the squad with whom Ganguly has to make certain XI that would give the best

Come on DADA

So we hope  that Ganguly 's Warriors will strike hard and bag the trophy and mark his Return to the game................

The first mission will be against the mighty Mumbai on Friday at the Wankhede , Mumbai ......
